The 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee are partnering once again with Nissan to present the 3rd annual Nissan Resume Challenge. This program offers local area high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn proper resume bulding and interview techniques through a series of workshops and interviews conducted by The 100 and local Nissan executives.
Challenge winners were invited to participate in a 2-day leadership development program held at Nissan's Franklin, TN headquarters on February 23-24, 2016. The young men of Middle Tennessee were joined by high school students from other 100 Black Men chapters from Chicago, Jackson, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. The high school students from Nashville represented Overton, MLK, Pearl Cohn, and Brentwood Aademy.
The young men toured the Nissan plant in Smyrna, TN and meet with Nissan engineers and automobile designers. In addition, they had the special honor to meet John Martin, Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing for Nissan North America. New this year was a tour of Nissan Stadium and suprprise guests included Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward and Tennessee Titan Dexter McCluster.
